Great instructor and class energy, Yusuf is awesome at engaging with the class! Good workout even though I have never been to tone house in person. This class in particular isn’t for me virtually at home - there’s great strength workouts but it involved way more jumping/hopping and room work than I have space for (noisy for apt neighbors). Wish there were more modifications for space - but excited to try other classes!

Amazing! Incredibly challenging. I had to take a 5 minute break! A mixture of calisthenics, fast paced Pilates floor work, boot camp without the weightlifting “break.” Lots of plank jacks, burpees, flutter kicks, pushups and mountain climbers, with no real pauses. Possibly the most difficult class I’ve ever taken, just for the cardio alone. You won’t miss your spinning class. The only suggestion I could make would be to add an arm sequence, maybe with light weights...but I know that goes against the spirit of “no equipment.” So good!!

Top 40 and tabata style class. A far cry from alignment-focused pilates, laughably so. Not my thing at all and definitely not what I was expecting, to be honest I couldn’t have disliked this more. BUT if you like this kind of thing (everyone else in class seemed to love it and it sells out often so there’s definitely an audience for it) then this is the place for you. It’s kind of like bar class meets HIIT. I would return to try one of the heated yoga offerings because the space is decent and well-maintained, and while this particular class didn’t resonate for me, the teacher was great for what it was.

Our instructor Megan was great, she took the time to correct my stance several times. Was concise and easy to follow. She also topped off the class with an adjustment and aromatherapy with tea tree oil. Playlist was a fun mix which helped to keep me engaged. The facilities need work, a lot of keys are missing on the lockers and the heat was disappointing. Temperature was turned on at 100 but it felt like 80 tops. Danielle was really great. Despite being pregnant with twins, she really had tremendous energy, was able to demonstrate several moves, gave great form corrections, and was all-around very positive. The studio itself is not at all what one might imagine when picturing a Manhattan-style barre studio, but in its little tucked-behind-a-church kitsch, it was very cute and totally served the purpose well. BOOT CAMP (VIRTUAL)

Coach came as me about 5-6 mins late. Not good but no biggie. Class is nonstop. No breaks whatsoever. GREAT sweat. They do alot of outdoor laps. We dis 4 today so bring a long sleeve shirt to easily slip into. There’s alot of cardio and jump squats, which I prefer. First 1/2 is mainly cardio drills: high knees, planks, outside laps around the block, bear crawls. Second 1/2 is a circuit we do two tomes followed by an outside lap. No breaks at all. No slowing down. Challenging class. Good for overall toning and to blast cals. Not good if you’re a model or dancer looking to sculpt and not bulk up. We dud extended plans that can bulk up the shoulders as well as burpees & jump squats that can bulk up the legs. Literally your agent’s nightmare. I’d still def return but modify the moves as I did today to avoid jump squats/a ton of big thigh muscle work.

    Studio: Yin Yoga

Deb offered a lot of modifications for me (pregnant) and my mom (who has back pain). She was very nice and helpful and seemed quite knowledgeable about proper body movement (even more than the average yoga teacher). My own personal preference is that the music be more relaxing- sometimes there was some light dance music playing softly in the background- which I found more energizing than relaxing and more suited to regular yoga than yin yoga. But that’s just my two cents. Nice class!

    YogaSole Flow

The divine light and calming powerful energy exuded from the instructor and permeated deep into our collective consciousness. I am grateful I was able to share space in this sacred dwelling today and will pay it forward to all.

    Hatha Yoga

I’m giving 5 stars because I love the idea of outdoor yoga in the park and want these folks to continue and thrive, but I do have some suggestions for improving the class. First, the teacher should have a sign or some kind of marker to help people locate the class amid the hundreds of people milling around the meeting place. And the class should remain at the meeting place until 5 min before class, rather than walking off at 15 min before class to a remote part of Sheep’s Meadow. I arrived 12 min prior to class and couldn’t find anyone until class actually started and I saw a distant group in downward dog. During class, the teacher was hard to hear and seemed self-conscious about raising her voice over the sounds of the park. During transitions, it would be helpful if the teacher announced the names of the poses first, so experienced yogis can keep to a smooth flow, rather than going into detailed positioning for each limb for beginners and only later stating “warrior 2”.

Slightly confusing at first for someone who doesn’t do a variety of HIIT workouts. Had a difficult time with the wall climb :( The team is very welcoming, but wish they would help out a newbie a little more.
