She was also able to change the massage to same-day. They also let me bring my bike inside when I forgot a lock - all around, such helpful accommodating service. The pressure was nuts and exactly what I wanted. The one time I pulled back and asked for lighter, CiCi did seem to let up a little. We didn’t talk much about my preferences (perhaps language barrier?) but I feel CiCi would have paid attention if we did.

They give you clothes to wear and a small private curtained area with a bed and tv and headphones so you can watch Netflix etc. The infrared device is like a sleeping bag. It does get very hot and you’ll sweat a lot. The staff come in a few times to check on you and you can ask them to turn the heat up or down. The experience itself is very relaxing. Would try it again, esp would feel great on a cold winter day.

Althea asked lots of good questions about my problem spots and history with massage and she did a fantastic job getting into my persistent back knots. They will never be completely gone but she was able to release them more than I usually can expect, which was wonderful! She also located several other areas that needed extra attention that I tend to forget about because my back drowns everything else out, it’s clear she is very good at reading bodies and understanding what they need.
