    I love the classes in Perigon, especially Ytle’s and Ethan’s classes. I’m thankful that this studio is in ClassPass. The class times also fit my daily schedule so I love going there. I don’t mean to compare but I noticed that instructors tend to assume that everyone already knows the choreography. They say terms like “around the world”, “bongos”, “v crunch”, etc. and for someone new to the studio (not new to cycling), it can get confusing, what more for those cycling for the very first time ever. To be fair to the instructors, they emphasize on getting the rhythm first, choreography later, but it would be nice also if the “moves” will be shown or explained first. This is not a big deal for me (just sharing it out there so others can manage expectations), but this is also the first studio where I experienced instructors mixing things up like leading with the left leg. I’ve done cycling classes in Saddle Row, Ride Revolution, and Rave Studio, and they all lead with the right leg. But as Ytle would say, it’s about training the brain with something new so you eventually acquire a new skill. It’s also nice that the bike room doesn’t have flashing lights during class so this is great for those sensitive to flashing lights. However, the bike room is dark majority of the time of the class so you’ll hardly see yourself on the mirror unless you’re front and center because there’s a spotlight for the instructor. I also love the spacious restroom. There’s ample moving space in the toilet cubicles and you won’t feel cramped at all. Love the shower area also, which has a dry and wet area.

    1 on 1 session during the time i was there. Coach was very hands on and adjusted the exercise based on my fitness level. It was really a fun and intense workout. If you’re only after having a holistic workout (without minding their showers) this is the best boxing gym i went to. Better than the overrated E**** gym. Haha the coaches in corex even give u a massage

    Strong Class

    Challenging but fun! Our class only had a few people so Coach Flory could guide us thru what to do when you forget them. If you're looking to try, it'd be best if you have basic knowledge of boxing and are already active because it's HIIT/ Circuit training. Good for beginners but maybe not the first class you should take if you're coming from a sedentary lifestyle :)

    Looks super easy at first but don’t be fooled. It’s a killer workout and they really maximize the 30 minutes. You go through each station and alternate with a floor exercise (usually with dumbbells). You also monitor your heartbeat throughout the 30 mins. It’s a great workout, will be back! Love the safe space for women. Also I was lucky to have a 1:1 coach during my session. I think it depends on how many people there are in the studio. But the max I saw was 3 pax so either way, you’re sure to be attended to.
