At the beginning, it didn’t seem like a deep workout, but it got much more intense & it was working muscles I didn’t realize were being targeted. The instructor offered modifications when she saw that I was struggling with certain items & she demonstrated a number of times to make sure it was done correctly. I’d go again.

The class size was intimate, so Virginia was able to provide me with variations to protect my back (I later found out she was a nurse! We appreciate a wholistic health expert). I love the connection between movement and breath in this class. I would love to take another soon.

Hands down, Melissa is one of the best instructors I’ve had the pleasure of taking class with and is easily a top instructor in Arizona. Her cues are fantastic and she takes the time to make small adjustments with those in class. Her personality shines through in her cues like when in bridge “ladies, stay up there and squeeze those cheeks like you are holding on to the winning lottery ticket!” I’m sure that room had the best bridges in the country at a 630am class today! Melissa is one in a million and definitely the type of instructor that you’d travel far for in order to take her class. She was subbing today’s class and as I was leaving was greeted by several hugs, well wishes and compliments from those that has missed her. The women showering her with love ranged in age from their 20s to their 70s. Her sneaky good moves appeal to all and weave the traditional elements of Pilates we all love and respect with some needed burn. Love, love, love her style!!!
